The Argentine-born, Sydney-based singer, actor and model keeps 272K Instagram followers very well fed, and honestly, we completely get the appeal. Manuel Kornisiuk, also known as Manú or Manúk, is an Argentine actor, singer-songwriter and model based in Sydney, Australia. He gained international attention as a member of the RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 10 pit crew and has starred in the films The Winner Takes It All (2023) and Perfect Boy Next Door (2024).

From Argentina with love

He started performing at an age when most kids are still figuring out which end of the crayon to use. At eight, Manu was already singing at national folkloric festivals in Argentina, after an aunt heard him sing and marched straight to his mum to get him into a folkloric academy. A few years later he was dancing in academies and singing on festival stages with his own guitarist, building the stage presence he still carries today.

Then came the travel bug. He did a stint in Buenos Aires, walked a runway for a brand called Bandoleiro, and decided his comfort zone needed a serious shake-up. Cue the move to Sydney, because nothing says personal growth like swapping hemispheres. He told DaMan magazine: “I love Australia. This country has been kind to me.” Since landing, he’s paid the bills as a bartender, a receptionist, a personal trainer and even a dancer at bachelorette parties. That last one is our favorite line on his resume, and we suspect it’s not the only reason he got the gig.

The face, the muscle, the whole package

The modeling thing started almost by accident. Bandoleiro spotted him on social media and called him in for a runway casting in Buenos Aires. He was convinced he wouldn’t get it. At 1.81 meters he’s technically a bit short for the fashion world’s weird height requirements, but they liked his look anyway. Sometimes being a handsome devil beats being tall.

Now he models for a living, and the photos do a lot of talking. Between editorial shoots, magazine covers and those gym sessions, he’s built the kind of look that makes people reach for words like muscle and hunk in the same breath, usually with a string of heart eyes in the comments. He’s got that rare combo: the face of a model, the build of a personal trainer, and the smile of a guy who knows exactly what he’s doing. Dangerous, really.

The music, aka why he’s on repeat

Under his stage name Manúk, he’s been doing the thing he loves most: making music. At last count he was pulling around 21,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, with Something Better out now and Dirty Laundry fresh off the release. The songs lean into the themes he knows best: attraction, tension, the kind of situations where you feel sexy and slightly dangerous. Lately he’s been writing heartbreak songs too, because apparently his brain does its best work when it’s a little bitter. Relatable.

Dirty Laundry is a whole mood. He wrote it about a toxic relationship, and in the video he literally fights himself. One man, two Manus, all the drama. If that doesn’t make you want to press play, we don’t know what will.

Lights, camera, abs

On screen, Manu has been keeping busy too. He starred as Hunter Rodriguez in the 2023 LGBTQ+ film The Winner Takes It All, a role that made a lot of people very happy for very obvious reasons. Then came Perfect Boy Next Door in 2024, which is exactly as dangerously cute as the title sounds. The boy next door thing is clearly working for him, and we’d happily let him borrow our lawnmower any day.

The pit crew era

Then there’s the gig that broke the internet’s collective heart: RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 10. Manu joined the pit crew, which officially makes him the guy who makes sure the queens have everything they need while looking like he stepped out of a cologne ad. He’s the reason half the audience stopped paying attention to the runway. According to Manu, RuPaul was the funniest and warmest person on set, always cracking jokes with the crew. That sounds like the best workplace ever.
